    • About: A bunch of command line tools that are standard fare on a *nix box. Stuff like Grep, Gawk. I tend to drop all these in c:\bin and add them to the path.




    • Name: 7-zip
    • Url: http://www.7-zip.org/
    • About: An LGPL'd archiver/unarchiver. Supports zip, rar, all the *nix guys (tar, z, bzip2, gzip... even rar and deb) as well as it's own 7z format. Integrates into the windows shell (right click on an archive in Windows explorer and extract it...)


    • Name: Hexplorer
    • Url: www.icy.prv.pl(sourceforge)
    • About: My pick of the win32 hexeditors. This one has it all: disassembly, copy as c-struct, paste from an external file, byte occurance counts, view as pixels... it's just sweet. This would've rocked back when I was fighting through Fravia's lessions
